ABOUT THIS ROLE
The position starts as part-time, about 15 hours a week.
You'll spend this time training and working alongside our experienced maintenance and garden team, as well as the rest of our staff.
This job is designed to become a valued, long-term live-on-site opportunity, with comfortable housing provided.
This role is ideal for someone who appreciates historic buildings, cares about preservation, enjoys a peaceful setting, and takes pride in their work. We’re looking for someone FIT to WORK, professional, respectful, reliable, discreet, commmunicative, and easy to work with.
We want a hands-on, proactive team member with a bias for action, who likes helping out with regular maintenance and small repairs.
Right now, we need someone for steady part-time hours. The work includes general repairs, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, seasonal projects, and helping out with events.
We’re looking forward to finding a long-term partner to help care for this property. Over time, this job can grow into a full-time, live-on-site property manager or caretaker role, with your own private residence.
We ask that you have strong references, a clean background, and a positive attitude where no job is too small.
Some of the projects include small plumbing, electrical repairs, masonry touch-ups, LIFTING, painting, and general fix-it work. Days may also include event set up, moving furniture, cleaning, assisting on largeR building projects.
We’re looking for someone interested in staying long-term, not just taking a short-term job. For the right person, there’s a path to a live-on-site role.
We offer hourly pay to start, with the possibility of housing and more responsibility in the future.
